Swinging from one fail to a totally separate and avoidable fail, Blizzard today sent out two waves of 100,000 beta invites for Mists of Pandaria.
That’s 200,000 people trying to squeeze themselves onto what transpired to be one server.
It doesn’t take a genius to guess what happened.
And now of course, people are complaining about how unstable the server is and how they can’t do anything with thousands of Pandarian characters in the starter zone. To these people I ask… what did you bloody well expect?!
Trying to get 200,000 people onto one server is insane. Beyond insane, actually. It’s the maddest, most crazy concept ever. And the reason Blizzard did this is because tens of thousands of you out there whinged constantly on their forums about not getting an invite. Congratulations, you got your invite. And you still can’t play the beta.
Moral of this story? Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it…
