Merry Christmas From Me. Go Away 2016.

Hi there, Kami here.

There haven’t been updates for a couple of days. Two reasons for that;
1 – There hasn’t been anything worth talking about.
2 – I have a minor sibling issue that has diverted my attention.

So, to deal with the slow news and ultimately to put all my focus on giving my brothers and sisters a great Christmas and New Year without feeling depressed that we’re spending it at the hospital, I’m taking the rest of 2016 off from my blog. It’s kind of important that I do the good big burly brother thing and hopefully that will be repaid with good vibes, karma and fun stuff in the coming year. I mean, it’s not as if 2017 could be as bad as 2016… right? (P.S. 2016 – back off Carrie Fisher. I’m no Star Wars fan and even I love Carrie Fisher. Back. Off. Now.)

Anyway, here’s what will be happening in the new year;

My Ten Least Favourite Games of 2016
No worst list this year, mostly because the really awful stuff was so obvious and so smelly that it was unbelievably easy to avoid. Of course, that’s not to say I enjoyed every game I played this year and therefore, I decided instead of ten worst or disappointing games, I’d bundle them into one fun package.

My Five Favourite Games of 2016
Yeah, I can’t say there were ten games I’d recommend through the whole of 2016, but I can come up with five superb ones and that’s what matters. After all, with how disappointing 2016 was overall, that I can find five of them is going to be a miracle!

Things I Want From 2017
2017 is already shaping up to be a pretty damn good year, and yay new hardware woo! So this will run down the things I’m most looking forward to getting my grubby, arthritic fingers around in the coming year. Of course the Switch is going to be there. I mean, duh…

Trends of 2016 That Can Go Away
With the year over, we can look back at the previous twelve months and breathe a sigh of relief that it is over. Me? I’m going to pick out a few trends that seemed to persist in tech and gaming and give them reasons why they need to knock it the hell off.

The Big Three: Annual Smackdown
And finally for the new year, my annual spanking session of the big three console players and what they need to do (or not do) to please me and likely lots of other people in the coming year. Which could be interesting seeing as there’s a lot of suggestions in my mind…

Anyway, it’s Christmas Eve and I’m hellishly busy right now, so with that game plan set out, I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, a fantastic New Year and may you all have a great, fun time with friends and loved ones around you.

But seriously 2016, go away, nobody likes you anymore…

I'm the big cheese here. Comment, subscribe, direct waves of hate at me - all the same. Just hope you've had some partial enjoyment here!
